Ensuring access to life-saving care in conflict zones

Human Sea Bridge coordinates access-to-care pathways for civilians affected by war and humanitarian crises, when essential medical treatment is no longer available locally, with particular attention to Gaza.

WHO WE ARE

Our mission: bridging emergency and access to care

In times of war, hospitals become overwhelmed, infrastructures collapse, and patients requiring urgent or specialized treatment are often left without access to adequate medical care locally.

Human Sea Bridge acts as a coordination bridge between patients, medical teams, hospitals, humanitarian organizations, institutions and public authorities in order to make cross-border medical pathways possible.

We do not replace existing humanitarian actors.
Our role is to facilitate coordination, strengthen connections between stakeholders, and help build realistic, documented and dignified pathways to care.

CURRENT EMERGENCY

Focused action for medical emergencies in Gaza

At present, our organization is focused on identifying urgent medical needs, supporting the preparation of medical files, directing patients toward the appropriate actors, and coordinating access-to-care solutions whenever they can be made possible.

Our work is built on dialogue, rigorous verification, coordination, and strict respect for institutional and medical protocols.

HUMAN IMPACT

Making medical pathways possible

Our work translates into concrete pathways to care, developed with strict respect for confidentiality, dignity and each patient’s informed consent.

The Arafat Al Rayyes case reflects the founding mission of Human Sea Bridge: documenting urgent medical situations, structuring available information, identifying the appropriate stakeholders, and facilitating coordination toward access to care.

Support provided for a complex medical pathway: case documentation prepared for humanitarian coordination mechanisms, private hospital care identified, followed by coordination with diplomatic representatives to explore the patient’s transfer outside the conflict zone.

Support provided to a young Palestinian child displaced in Cairo toward specialized medical care: identification of an appropriate medical solution, coordination with a private healthcare facility, organization of the care pathway, and mobilization of the necessary support networks.
