Human Sea Bridge operates in complement to existing medical and humanitarian structures.
The organization does not replace healthcare institutions or field-based humanitarian actors already providing support on the ground.
Our role primarily focuses on :

- Assisting with logistical and organizational steps

A human-scale organization
As an independent and evolving organization, Human Sea Bridge is progressively developing its tools, partnerships, and operational network around one core mission : facilitating access to healthcare in critical humanitarian situations.

A multi-level governance structure
To ensure responsive, accountable, and transparent action, Human Sea Bridge is building its governance around several complementary bodies: an executive board, a developing board of directors, an ethics and scientific committee, as well as a broader support and ambassador network.
EXECUTIVE BOARD
Oversees operational leadership, day-to-day decision-making, and the management of sensitive cases.Composition: President, Secretary General, Treasurer.
A deliberately agile structure designed to enable swift decision-making while preserving confidentiality around supported situations.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Currently being structured to strengthen the depth, credibility, and diversity of the organization’s governance.
Profiles sought: senior physicians, legal experts, humanitarian specialists, maritime or logistics professionals, institutional figures, finance/compliance experts, and nationally or locally recognized personalities.
ETHICS & SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE
An independent space for reflection and oversight aimed at distinguishing emotion, advocacy, and methodological validation. Role: advisory guidance, ethical review, validation of operational principles, reputational safeguarding, and ethical framework oversight.
SUPPORT & AMBASSADOR NETWORK
A network designed to expand visibility, strengthen legitimacy, and mobilize meaningful support. Profiles: elected representatives, physicians, academics, artists, maritime professionals, humanitarian actors, former senior civil servants, and journalists engaged in humanitarian issues.
