CROSS-CUTTING PATHWAY

The qualifications exist. The path does not, yet.

K. and his wife are both health professionals trained in Gaza. Their qualifications are real. The path to stable practice in their profession is not, yet.

Verified case file — situation updated on 1 October 2026.

THE PATHWAY AT A GLANCE

A life is not rebuilt one file at a time.

Qualifications, employment, language, care, mobility: none of it helps unless everything moves forward together. Our role: make the sequence clear and find the next workable step.

Qualifications and studies

Nursing diploma, partially validated Bachelor’s degree and Palestinian professional licence valid until 2028.

Professional practice

Real, documented clinical experience, but no current authorisation to practise in Egypt.

Mobility

Recognition, employer or training, language, visa and funding must form a single legal route.

Care and household stability

His wife’s care pathway, already under way, also determines whether the family’s plan is feasible.
AN INTERRUPTED TRAJECTORY, NOT AN EMPTY ONE

The professional foundation is already in place.

Facts, dates, documents available.

WHAT THIS MEANS DAY TO DAY

Continuing to serve while waiting for what comes next.

Alongside his applications, K. remains involved with displaced families in Cairo. His pathway is not empty: his professional and human practice continues, without the stability that should come with it.

“The war interrupted his professional path. It did not end his work as a nurse.”

DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE

A case file built on four verifiable foundations.

Nursing diploma

Diploma and university transcript.

Palestinian professional licence

Professional title and validity period documented.

Hospital employment

Employment contract and certificate.

International references

Verifiable professional support.
THE NEXT STEP

Finding a legal, realistic route back to professional practice.

This route may be direct, or may involve a stage of recognition, language training or a return to study. K. is prepared, if necessary, to start below his previous level and then progress.

Several countries are under consideration. None is assumed to be open. The priority: the route that is workable legally, professionally and financially.

Language · operational step — IELTS moves from plan to concrete pathway.

An assessment appointment at the British Council in Cairo is to establish the level, preparation and cost before any payment is made. The chosen route remains IELTS for UKVI, Academic or General Training module to be confirmed.

K. prépare un espace d’accueil avec des bénévoles au Caire.

The obstacles must move forward together.

Professional recognition

Access to an employer or training

Required language level

Visa and legal mobility

Funding

Continuity of care and household stability

HIS WIFE · HEALTH · HOUSEHOLD STABILITY

A career transition cannot hold if the household does not.

His wife is also a qualified nurse. Around USD 1,000 is still needed to retrieve a diploma she has already obtained and make it usable for employment, recognition or a training application.

Following post-traumatic injuries to her left knee, twelve sessions of CPM physiotherapy have been prescribed and treatment has begun. Further examinations are still needed. It would be premature to anticipate surgery, long-term recovery or fitness to travel.

ROLE, LIMITS AND NEXT STEP

A solution is only real if the whole pathway can move forward.

What Human Sea Bridge can do

Document the case file, compare possible routes, prepare applications, connect the relevant actors, coordinate medical and professional timelines, and mobilise resources for verified needs.

What the organisation cannot guarantee

No guarantee of employment, a visa, professional recognition, admission or a medical outcome. The method is to turn disconnected possibilities into a documented route — or to identify the safest realistic alternative.

One capability can unlock the next step.

Employer, training institution, qualification recognition specialist, language provider, medical actor or donor: a well-targeted capability can make the next step possible. We verify needs, connect stakeholders and coordinate the pathway.

CONNECTING PEOPLE, SKILLS AND INSTITUTIONS.

Human Sea Bridge facilitates access to care, coordinates pathways and opens up prospects beyond the emergency.

Registered in France as Pont de Mer Humanitaire.
