For taxpayers subject to French income tax, memberships and donations may qualify for the statutory tax reduction, subject to applicable limits. A tax receipt will be issued when eligible.

Your data and payment

Your first name, last name and email address are used only to register and manage your membership, provide administrative follow-up and meet accounting and tax obligations. These processing activities are based on performance of your membership and, for required records, on the organization’s legal obligations.

Recipients are authorized Human Sea Bridge personnel and Stripe, the secure payment provider. Card details are entered only on the Stripe Checkout page: they do not pass through WordPress and are not stored there.

Membership management data is kept for as long as needed for the membership, then archived with restricted access where evidence or law requires it. Accounting and tax records are retained for the applicable statutory period, which may be up to ten years.

Membership, the optional donation and any marketing communication are separate purposes. This form does not subscribe you to marketing communications. You may exercise your rights as described in the privacy policy.

Membership does not create an automatic assignment.

Volunteer roles are offered according to need, skills, availability and safeguarding rules.

You do not need to become a member to volunteer: volunteering does not, in itself, confer membership (Article 9 of the Articles of Association). The commitment of a non-member volunteer is set out in an agreement or a letter of assignment.

Membership supports the life of the organisation. It does not mean assignment to a case, access to sensitive data or the promise of a role.
