GAZA PRIORITY

A medical need is not enough: a pathway must also be opened.

In Gaza and Egypt, we work with families and our partners: documenting needs, finding care capacity, organising realistic steps. The priority is medical. But everything also depends on documents, authorisations, funding, transport and reception.

The conflict cuts off care, movement, procedures and information. Even when a medical solution exists elsewhere, the pathway remains blocked. We turn a fragmented situation into a usable case file, connected to the right contacts.

THE REALITY

A documented emergency is not a promise of evacuation.

A patient may need specialist care, have a medical file, and still be stuck: no place to receive them, no authorisation, no route, no coordination. Each step depends on a different actor.

We do not decide on referral, medical priority, crossing, admission, visa or treatment. No evacuation or care can be guaranteed.

FROM EMERGENCY TO AN ACHIEVABLE STEP

Turning a fragmented situation into a pathway that can be handed on.

We work at the interfaces: understanding what is blocking, gathering and verifying information, finding who can assess a solution, following exchanges through to the next step.

Transport is only one link in the chain

Before it: assessment, authorisations, crossing. After it: reception and continuity of care.

Documents and institutional coordination

A structured, verified case file allows authorised contacts to understand quickly the need, the documents available and the decisions pending.

TWO COMPLEMENTARY FUNCTIONS

Urgency and method

Protecting the person, clarifying the chain

Urgency demands fast action. Method demands a clear distinction between what is verified, what depends on a third party and what remains uncertain.

CURRENT PRIORITY

Gaza

Patients and displaced families

Gaza is a priority of the Access to Care programme, alongside our other work.

Identify and verify

Identify critical situations. Gather only the medical, administrative and family documents that are needed. Verify dates, documents and areas of uncertainty.

Search and coordinate

Find doctors, hospitals, humanitarian actors or institutions able to assess a care option. Facilitate handovers, without deciding on their behalf.

Prepare continuity

Anticipate examinations, translations, transport, accommodation, funding, reception and exit procedures. An evacuation does not close the pathway: it opens a new one.
OUR COMMITMENTS

Acting with urgency, never with false promises.

Transparency

Explain what can be attempted, what depends on a third party and what remains uncertain.

Confidentiality

Use only the information that is needed and protect sensitive data.

Responsibility

Announce a step only once it is confirmed.

Coordination

Connect families, professionals, hospitals, humanitarian organisations, institutions and supporters.

We structure and pass on case files. We do not make diagnoses, prioritise patients or issue any authorisation.

SUPPORTING THE NEXT STEP

Your donation funds concrete progress.

Examinations, translations, transport, temporary accommodation, case-file preparation: your donations fund the concrete steps of a pathway, according to needs and our allocation rules.

Payment methods and our transparency rules are set out on the donation page.

ACT WITH US

Help the next step happen, with clarity about its limits.

Every contribution is allocated according to documented needs and the organisation’s rules.
